Preperation
When picking a location for your session, keep in mind lighting. When I am looking for a place to take photos I am looking for places with ample open shade. While Sunshine is great natural light it can cause squinting and harsh shadows in your photos. We want your eyes open and your face shining!
Arizona has plenty of sunshine and very little shade. When I schedule photoshoots I like the Sun to be coming up or going down. In most cases when possible I will schedule photoshoots early in the morning or the late afternoon. && Don't forget GOLDEN HOUR
Should we match? Sure, but don't be too matchy. Dark clothing has the tendencies to slim down the body. Try to avoid bright colors and clothing with prints and patterns, logos can be very distracting and take attention away from the subject. Light clothing can look very fresh in photos.
My favorite way to capture timeless photographs is by using posing prompts. Some may find it a little silly when I ask you to fake laugh at your kiddo's, or go in for a tickle to your significant other, but by doing this we capture the most amazing candid shots!
Of course I'll have you look at the camera as well.
I am always excited to begin post processing! Editing is where the magic happens! The Art if you will. Depending on the type of shoot is how long it will take to receive your photos! If we have a 2 hour shoot most likely I will have a plethora of photos to cull and edit. I will usually deliver a sneak peak on the next day.
